Nordland is a fig by many names. A large fig, relatively. The leaves began drying out weeks ago, so I pulled most of them off. This exposed the fruit to more direct sun than usual, causing the figs to begin to darken more than in years past.

Negretta is a small black fig that may be a sibling of Bianchetta and/or Verdetta. Negretta is early ripening. The first ripe Florea fig is somewhat water-engorged by recent heavy rains but still good and sweet:

San Miro Piro is my best breba variety. Only a few figs on a little tree in pot but relatively large with honey-like flavor.

Haven’t ripened GM-140 yet. Said to be a gray skin fig. Currently shows figs doubled up at some nodes:  

This De Tres Esplets fig ripe today was either a held-over fig or is a breba fig, probably held over winter as a very small fig. Nice sweet jelly, light, near berry flavor.
