Honey-Berry Figs

Honey-berry figs can be found in the fig flavor spectrum between yellow honey figs and green berry figs. The skins of the honey-berry figs tend to be greenish or yellowish with light red and translucent pulp, darker than pink, lighter than berry red, partly honey, partly berry flavored. Occasionally the pulp can range to golden or to dark red. Mainly, the pulp is light red. Tasting more of juice than of jam, these figs have fresh, light berry flavors compared to the intense berry flavors of the full berry figs. Brooklyn White is the Queen of the honey-berry figs for short season growers.
