Brown Sugar Figs

Certain varieties of figs can taste a lot like brown sugar, rather than like honey or berry. Brown sugar figs have brown or amber pulp, and sometimes brown skin, though not always. Brown sugar figs, per their name, are often very sweet. A few brown sugar fig varieties include the very productive LSU Improved Celeste and LSU O’Rourke, also the later ripening Palermo Reds and the breba producer Grantham’s Royal, among others.
