Sugar-Berry Figs

With flavors ranging between brown sugar and resin berry (“Bordeaux”), the sugar-berry figs are neither fully sugar figs nor fully berry figs but a mix of the two. These dark-skin figs have a light generic berry or fresh fruity flavor compared to the true berry figs’ intense jam flavors. More fruit juice flavors, somewhat resinous, less berry jam or punch flavors. Sugar-berry cultivars include LSU Tiger, Florea, Hunt, and others.
