Carmine goumi is considerably sweeter than Red Gem and Sweet Scarlet goumi, also much larger, more pulp, less skin. Carmine is like a small red grape with one big long seed in the middle, shape of a skinny football.
Unless dead ripe, goumi will have some tartness to it. Again, Carmine is significantly sweeter and bigger per stage than are Red Gem and Sweet Scarlet.

One Green World offers Carmine goumi under the name of Tillamook. Whitman Farms used to offer it. Tillamook and Carmine goumi appear to be identical.

I’ve been searching online for 2 years now for a Carmine Goumi. Can you refer me to a source for the plant? Thanks.

Whitman Farms still sells “Tillamook”, which appears to be the same plant as Carmine. Just give Lucille a call, she owns Whitman Farms. I purchased a Tillamook from her this year (2023).
