This seedling tree could be given the name peach bubblegum pawpaw, I suppose. Though basically and distinctly the flavor is very much simply … pawpaw. Very good. Great texture. Flavorful though less complex than Allegheny pawpaw variety.
The first pawpaw tried here, the egg-shaped one cut open, tasted like ice cream bubble gum flavor with melon moderating the taste.
The second one, the thinnest, tasted like peach ice cream. Chilled, it tastes like peaches and milk.
All had similar texture and color. All room temperature ripened for a few days.
The third of these pawpaws tasted, the little round one, had the flavor of bubble gum pudding. Or bubble gum flan, or custard, or cream, or jello. Room temperature pawpaw is like warm ice cream or bubble gum pudding. Refrigerated or chilled pawpaw is like fruit ice cream.
The fourth and biggest pawpaw, all from the same hand, same tree, tasted like a mix of the other three.
